‘Paraluman’ the Queen, Beyond Beauty: A gathering of women of substance

Staff Report

A women empowerment initiative has recently gathered more than 30 global women leaders and change makers to celebrate International Women’s Day 2022, inside the Bangkota Philippines Pavilion, at Expo2020 Dubai.

The initiative dubbed as “Paraluman” the Queen, Beyond Beauty, with its theme “Women enriching a world where diversity and inclusiveness are embraced, where differences are celebrated and valued”, was conceptualized by Marlene Murphy, president of the Philippines Partnership Circle (PhilPaC), featuring multinational women professionals and industry experts.

“Celebrating and supporting women is necessary every day instead of the month of March, during Women’s History Month. Women deserved to be celebrated for their extraordinary contributions to society, remarkable triumphs and unmatched fearlessness,” Marlene Murphy said in her opening remarks.

“We all can make a tremendous difference right now through our thoughts, interactions, and actions every single day. We have a tremendous opportunity to break bias in our home, workplace, community, country, and ultimately globally.”
