Engaging talks on human rights issues in the Philippines held

RC Dialogues, has held a highly informative virtual discussion titled, “Human Rights Issues in the Philippines” on December 06 via Zoom and livestreamed on Rights Corridor Facebook page.

Cristina Palabay, Secretary-General of human rights group KARAPATAN (Rights) Alliance Philippines, and Regional Council Member of Asia-Pacific Forum on Women, Law and Development and Danilo ”Ka Daning” Ramos, National Chairman of Kilusang Magbubukid ng Pilipinas (Peasant Movement of the Philippines) joined Rights Corridor managing director and RC Dialogues host, Froilan Malit Jr. in the discussion.

The two prominent human rights activists shared their views and insights on prevailing human rights issues in the Philippines today, including the controversial “red-tagging”, or the act malicious blacklisting of individuals or organisations critical or not fully supportive of the actions of a current government administration.

Rhoderick Ople, president of OFW Watch Italy has also participated in the webinar, along with some members of his group.
